Office 365, Office 2013 and Office 2016 are the latest versions of the Office productivity suite that has been equipped with various advanced features like new graphical user interface, tabbed toolbar, collaborative software applications & services and many more. Thus, to enjoy these advanced features, the users need to follow a set of three processes that includes downloading, installing and activating. Sometimes the users may face some errors while activating the Office 365, 2013 and 2016 setup on the device. One of the most common activation errors is the Error code 0x4004f00c.

Error0x4004f00c The Software Licensing Service reported that the computer could not be activated. No key Management Service could be contacted.

Office is up to date.

Uninstalled/reinstalled.

Ran Microsoft activation fix.

Ran online repair of office.

Removed the creds from credential manager.

Used Microsoft Office total removal tool.

Purchased another Office 365 license and reinstalled form the new account.

Manually removed all registry entries with the O365 license user info in it.

Uninstalled and Reinstalled again.

The latest batch of Microsoft updates has made my life hell. Since the “Thanksgiving update”, I’ve had nothing but Windows 10 issues at client sites.

I have a paid for copy Office 2016 purchased in December . Ive had issues with getting it running on my laptop running windows 10 and I have had to uninstall a number of times.

Now its working however I get the error message it needs to be activated. so I logged in and did this through my Office Account. However from my account it shows I have one activated version and two other copies.

The activated copy is Office Home & Business 2016

The others listed as needing activation are;

  • Office Professional 2016
  • Office Standard 2016.

All three are Version 1711 build 8730.2175 click to run

The unregistered notice says I must connect to my corporate network and contact my administrator.
